An acidic pH can occur from, an acid forming diet, emotional stress, toxic overload, and/or immune reactions or any process that deprives the cells of oxygen and other nutrients.
An alkaline diet can improve your health very quickly.
The body will try to compensate for acidic pH by using alkaline minerals. If the diet does not contain enough minerals to compensate, a build up of acids in the cells will occur.
Fact:
If your body's pH is not balanced, you cannot effectively assimilate vitamins, minerals and food supplements. Also, mucus on the small intestine can block your body from vitamin and mineral absorption.
Salivary pH Test: Optimal pH for saliva is 7.0 to 7.5. Salivary pH is a fair indicator of the health of the extracellular fluids and their alkaline mineral reserves. It tells us what the body retains. Use test strips 2 hours after meal. A reading lower than 6.4 is indicative of insufficient alkaline reserves. Straight after eating, the saliva pH should rise to 7.8 or higher. Unless this occurs, the body has alkaline mineral deficiencies and will not assimilate food very well.
Balance in Your Diet
Ideally our diet should be composed of about 35% acid forming foods and 65% alkaline forming foods. To restore health, the diet should consist of 80% alkaline forming foods and 20% acid forming foods. For this reason, it is important to cleanse & detoxify your body in order to jump start the process of balancing your pH. The majority of fruit and vegetables leave an alkalizing effect. Most grains are somewhat acid forming as are protein foods (meat). Refined sugar is acid forming whilst natural sea salt is not.
But there are also certain supplements and minerals, which will help alkalize your body.
Our detox program reveals all the information you need on how to help overcome your health issues and alkalize your body.
